• die Konfiguration des Projektgegenstandes wird in ihrer Entwicklung und Veränderung über den Projektverlauf gesteuert.
• die Teilprozesse sind: Konfigurationsidentifizierung, Beschreibung der Konfiguration des Projektgegenstandes, Konfigurationsüberwachung, Konfigurationsbuchführung und Konfigurationsaudit
• Bei einer Änderung der Konfiguration des Projektgegenstandes ist mit den Methoden des Änderungsmanagements die Änderung: zu beschreiben und zu beantragen (Änderungsantrag), in der Änderungskonferenz zu bewerten, genehmigen oder ablehnen
• mit der Änderungsmitteilung (genehmigte Änderungen in neue Version der Konfiguration einarbeiten) wird die Änderung an die davon Betroffenen kommuniziert 

Configuration and change management

• the configuration of the project object will be controlled and developed and change over project approach.
• the sub processes are:  identification of configuration, description of the configuration of project object, configuration supervision, configuration accounting and configuration audit
• in case of a change of the configuration with the methods of the change management: the change request has to be filled out, during change conference the change is to evaluate, approved or rejected
• with the change notice (approved changes will implemented in new version of the configuration) the change will be communicated onto evolved people
